My art is shaped by my childhood trips to Fort George Island, Florida with my father and my passion for history.
While my father fished, I played on the jetties and splashed on the beach with my siblings. My fond memories of family outings to the beach have influenced my art and given me a profound respect and love of the ocean.
My love of lighthouses has changed the way I live and travel. When I am not traveling to a lighthouse, I am writing, researching or painting lighthouses. I’ve painted almost 70 lighthouses in the United States, United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
My favorite memories are of this lightship in London that was converted into a music studio. I was spellbound by its presence. It seemed pregnant with stories of its past.
