Lilac Lighthouse Tender, Hudson River Park, New York
9x12 inch matted print. The U.S. Lighthouse Service used these vessels to carry fuel, food and other essential supplies to lighthouses, lightships, their keepers and crews. The last of a dying breed, the Lilac is the only surviving steam-propelled lighthouse tender in America and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is located at Hudson River Park in New York.
